(a) Development of algorithms for Narrow Band Interference reduction in IRNSS received signal
The Electronics and Communication Engineering department has a Project named “Development of algorithms for Narrow Band Interference reduction in IRNSS received signal” under RESPOND (Sponsored Research) programme of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The goal of this project is to develop suitable algorithms for Narrow Band Interference suppression in the navigation data received over a satellite channel. The system constraints include extremely low signal power and a desirable BER of the order 10^-9 at the receiver. ISRO has funded the ECE Department for Rs. 5.77 Lakh in July, 2011, and the project duration is one year.
(b) RPS (Research Promotion Scheme )project from AICTE
The ECE Department has received a RPS project titled “IP core for real-time audio video surveillance system” from AICTE as communicated in their letter no. 8023/BOR/RID/RPS-111/2008-09 dated 12/03/09. The amount funded is Rs 5,00,000/.
(c) MODROBS (Modernization and Removal of Obsolescence) project from AICTE
The AICTE have granted an amount of Rs. 10 Lakhs for up-gradation of labs under MODROBS scheme vide letter no. 200-21/FIN/ 2001-2002/ 897/1590 dated 10/11/2008. We are planning to procure equipments to upgrade our labs under this project.
(d) MEMS Design Centre
We have been selected for establishing a MEMS design center. This is a national level project in an emerging area of MEMS design. This will be coordinated by IISC, Bangalore. For this project Software worth approx. 40 Lakhs is to be received.
