Year 2013

1. March 9, 2013: Dr. Mona Mathur delivered a guest lecture on the topic of “Video Coding Standards”.

2. March 8, 2013: Prof Abdul Quaiyum Ansari, Chairman, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Delhi Chapter delivered a lecture on efficient ways of doing research. He introduced the audience to the benefits of IEEE in research and how IEEE helps in professional networking.

3. February 23 -24 & March 2-3, 2013: Department of CSE organized a workshop for students on “Aakash Android Application Programming Workshop”.

4. February 02, 2013: Guest professional counsellor Ms Anindita Paul conducted a two hour session on "Basics of Counseling".


5. January 21, 2013: Dr Babal Kant Jha- recipient of the prestigious International Milstein young investor award 2012 in science delivered a talk on Therapeutic implications of targeting innate immune response against cancer and viral infection. Dr Jha presented his latest research findings on use of lytic viruses to preferentially infect and eliminate cancer cells while sparing normal cells.

Year 2012

1. December 26, 2012: Prof. (Dr.) C.D. Wadhva, an eminent professor in the area of economics and public policy, interacted with Ph.D scholars of JIIT.

2. November 26, 2012: Prof (Dr.) N.S. Murthy, Dean (Planning & Development), NIT Warangal gave a talk on VLSI-DSP Architectures.
3. November 19, 2012: Dr. Bhupendra Kumar gave a lecture on “Solar Cells: Integration of Molecular Catalysts with P-type Semiconductor PhotoCathode”. Dr. Bhupendra Kumar is working with INTEL Corporation, Hillsboro, OR [USA]. Dr. Kumar has a PhD from University of California - San Diego [USA] with a Masters from National University of Singapore and BTech from Indian Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University.
4. November 9, 2012: Prof B D Malhotra, Professor, Delhi Technological University, Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India, and Fellow (Elected), Indian National Science Academy gave a talk on "Prospects of Nanomaterials Based Biosensors for Cancer Detection”.
5. October 5, 2012: Dr. Veena Mendirata, Bell Labs Napperville delivered a lecture on Reliability Engineering at JIIT, Noida.
6. October 3-6, 2012: An introductory course on Social Entrepreneurship was conducted by Prof. Patrick McNamara of University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA from October 3-06, 2012 for MBA students. Prof. Patrick McNamara is a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Scholar under a program co-sponsored by the U.S. State Department and the Government of India and is in India teaching and conducting research. Prof. McNamara has consulted with corporations, governments and nonprofits for over 20 years in the areas of organizational strategy, conflict resolution, and program development.The three-day course provided definitions of key terms, case studies of successful social entrepreneurs and role plays and exercises demonstrating how to apply the skills and knowledge discussed.
7. September 28, 2012- Mr Rohit Chandra, an inventor /entrepreneur gave a talk on Wealth creation and web entrepreneurship.
8. September 4, 2012: CICE organized an orientation program for B.Tech I and II year students under Electronics Hub.
9. August 29, 2012: An Introductory session on ‘Arduino Hardware and Programming’ was organized   for third year ECE students.
10. August 28, 2012: An Orientation program on “Microcontroller and Robotics based systems” organised for BTech First Year students
11. August 27, 2012: Ericsson organized Excel Training Programme for BTech ECE final year students
12. August 27, 2012: Ms Nirmala, National Stock Exchange   gave a talk on basics of stock market operations and trading.
13. August 18, 2012: Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, CMIE conducted CMIE orientation program.
14. August 18, 2012: Mr Amit Srivastava conducted a Demonstration session of Learningware
15. August 8, 2012: Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Faculty-JIIT delivered a talk on Mathematical Theory of Quantum Structures
16. August 7, 2012: Prof. P. V. Subrahmanyam, Professor & Former Head of the Department, IIT Madras delivered a talk on “Importance of Fourier Series in the field of Engineering and Technology”
17. August 6, 2012: Department of Biotechnology,JIIT  in association with BD Biosciences organized a workshop on the Utility of flowcytometry in Research and Clinical Diagnosis. Presentation on Flowcytometry Technology and its applications was delivered by Dr. Amitav Mohanthy.
18. July 28, 2012: Dr. V. Agarwal, Professor and Senior Researcher in Department of Material Science group, Center for Engineering and Applied Sciences (CIICAp-UAM), Autonomous State University of Morelos, Cuernavaca, Mexico delivered a talk on “Porous Silicon Nanostructures and its Applications: From Light Emitting Devices to Sensors”
19. July 28, 2012: Dr. Lakshmivarahan currently a George Lynn Cross Research Professor at the School of Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma delivered a talk on Data Mining and its Applications.
20. July 3, 2012: Dr. Himadri Chakraborty, Department of Natural Sciences and Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Northwest Missouri State University, Missouri, USA delivered a talk on "From the Brog to Humans: Collectivised, coupled, and lonely electrons in excited nanoclusters"
21. May 26, 2012: Prof. D. K. Agrawal, Director, Microwave Processing and Engineering Center, Materials Research Laboratory Pennsylvania State University delivered at talk on Microwave Processing of Ceramics, Composites and Metals: An Overview
22. May 7, 2012: Prof. Rup Lal, Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc), Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Microbiology (INJM) and Associate Editor of BMC Biotechnology & BMC Biochemistry delivered a guest lecture on "Metagenomic analysis and its prospects for discovery of novel natural products/environmental remediation".
23. May 3, 2012: Dr. Shyamala Mani, Progam Director, Waste and Resource Management (WaRM), Centre for Environment Education (CEE ) delivered a guest  lecture on Environmental Laws
24. April 25, 2012: Prof. Loren Cole, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Inquiring Systems, Inc. (ISI) of USA, delivered a seminar on “Ethical Business Practices”.
25. April 3, 2012: Prof Arghya Taraphder, Center for Theoretical Studies, Department of Physics, IIT Kharaghpur, IIT Mandi, delivered a talk on Transition metal dichalcogenides: A novel perspective.
26. April 2, 2012: A technical talk was delivered by Prof Prof. R K Mandal, Centre of Advanced Study, Departmemt of Metallurgical Engineering Institute of Technology, BHU on “Metallic Materials at Different Length Scales”.
27. March 26, 2012: Guest lecture on "Journey from protein purification to cloning to identifying function - Case history of HABP1" by Prof. Kasturi Datta, DBT distinguished Biotechnology Professor & Adjunct Professor, Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. 
28. March 15, 2012: Prof. A.D. Amar, Professor of Management, Stillman School of Business, Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ USA delivered a lecture on "Doing Business in India”
29. February 8, 2012: Mr. Varoon Raghavan, Planning Commission, GoI delivered a lecture on “Manufacturing Policy in India - Ambition, Challenges and Solutions”.
30. January 24, 2012: Guest lecture on "Biotechnology in Agriculture". Dr. Srinivas Parimi, Entomologist, Maharashtra Hybrid Seeds Company (Mahyco) Research Center, spoke about insect resistance management, insecticidal gene discovery, and transgenic crop development.  Mr. Ajay Panchbhai, Associate Research Scientist, Mahyco Research Center, talked about regulatory aspects associated with transgenic crops.
31. January 23, 2012: Dr. M.K.Radakrishnan, Director, NanoRel- Technical Consultants, Singapore and IEEE EDS Distinguished Lecturer gave a talk on “Interface Physics Studies in Silicon Nano Devices”
32. January 16 -19, 2012: A Workshop on Matlab was organized by CICE for B.Tech II year students

3. October 15, 2011: Dr. Anil Garg, Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Kores (India) Ltd., Mumbai delivered a lecture on “Preparing for Corporate Careers – Keys to Success”.
4. September 16, 2011: ECE Department organized a programme on DSP starter kit TMS320C6416 . The programme included presentations, hardware implementation and hands on training session.
5. September 15, 2011: Dr. Biswa Nath Bhattacharyay from Asian Development Bank Institute, Japan visited JBS and delivered a special lecture on "Challenges for India towards rebalancing for sustainable growth"

3. November 18, 2010: Dr. Estella Poloni, Geneva University, Switzerland delivered a talk on "Population structure and evolution of drug-metabolizing genes"

18. July 9, 2010: Shri Mahender Singh Khari along with Ms. Sharon of Association of International Accountants (UK) shared his personal experiences and challenges in life while introducing the organization to the MBA students. The Hon’ble Founder Chancellor Shri Jai Prakash Gaur Ji and Hon’ble Chancellor, Sh. Manoj Gaur Ji also graced the occasion.
