QUESTION:   I am a new student/fresher - how can I borrow the Books from LRC?

ANSWER: Once you receive the ID card, Please note down your details and stick your photograph and submit it to the LRC staff at the circulation desk. The LRC staff will paste the barcode and return it back the next day. You can borrow the books as per your eligibility.

B Tech - 3 books for 15 days

M Tech / MBA - 4 books for 15 days

QUESTION:   For how long - period can I borrow books?

ANSWER:   B Tech – 15 Days; M Tech / MBA – 15 Days

QUESTION:   Can I borrow Reference Books?

ANSWER:   Students can not borrow the reference books, but the faculty members can borrow for overnight only.

QUESTION:   What kinds of E-Resources are available on JIIT campus?

QUESTION:   Can I access subscribed e-resources through LRC website ?

ANSWER:   Yes, all students, faculty and staff members can access subscribed e-resources through LRC website in interanet.

QUESTION: What are the timings of LRC?

ANSWER:   The LRC timings are as follows

Monday to Friday – 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays – 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM

QUESTION:   What should I do in case lose of issued books?

ANSWER:   Inform immediately to LRC through e-mail / written application.

QUESTION:   Can I bring my personal book in LRC?

ANSWER:   Yes, personal books are allowed in LRC.

QUESTION:   How can I avail printing facility?

ANSWER:   Please get a printing form from LRC circulation counter and submit it to Accounts Department with Rupees 150/- and submit the receipt to LRC then you may avail the printing facility of 150 pages, you may get maximum 25 pages in a day.

QUESTION:   Can I recommend books to be purchased in the LRC

ANSWER:   Yes, You can recommend the books in a prescribed book recommendation form and submit it to LRC office.

QUESTION:   Can I borrow Newspapers/Magazines and journals?

ANSWER:   No, these are only for reference.

QUESTION:   I am a student/faculty/staff from JUIT/JUET can I borrow the books?

ANSWER:   Yes, but after the approval of Vice Chancellor.

QUESTION:   How can I distinguish reference books from other library collection?

ANSWER:   Reference books are marked  "REF" on top of the call number on book spine and the due date slip will be in pink color.

QUESTION:   I am a student from Solan / Guna can I use the LRC services

ANSWER:   Yes you may use reference services. But you cannot borrow any books unless you have a special permission from the Vice Chancellor.
