INTRODUCTION

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is a Knowledge Centre which has rich resources mainly in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Physics and Materials Science, Humanities, Management and other related applied fields. It is a three-storey centrally air conditioned and wi-fi enabled block and has a sitting capacity of 400 readers. It is situated in the academic building Aryabhatt 1 of the Institute and is the hub of the entire academic and research activities of the Institute.

COLLECTION

The LRC possesses a very rich collection of books, bound volumes of journals and other reading material, as per details given below, to cater to the informational and scholarly requirements of its members.

The Library has subscribed ten international online databases i.e. ACM, IEL Online, Springer Link with LNCS,  Emerald, ABI/INFORM Complete covering full text journals, Magazines, Transactions, Proceedings, Reports, etc. Besides that under the UGC-INFONET E-journals Consortium, we are subscribed to American Institute of Physics/American Physical Society (AIP/APS), Institute of Physics (IOP). Computerized Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) can be accessed from all the Centres under University Line Area Network.

The LRC is also a member of Developing Library Network (DELNET) for sharing the resources among its member libraries. Development of Institutional Repository by using DSpace repository software is in progress. User may search available resources by using delnet website i.e. http://164.100.247.17/.

The LRC has installed 65 Computers for the students and research scholars to access the available online resources.
