Biography

Currently working as Professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India. She has more than 20 years of experience. She has received her Ph.D. degree from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal in the year 2011. She has designed various courses such as Mobile Application Development, Information Retrieval and semantic web, Data Mining and Information Retrieval, Advanced Databases and Databases for Mobile Applications for U.G and P.G. students and she has been teaching these subjects to them. Her research interests include Information Retrieval and Data Mining, NLP, Text Analytics, Software Performance Engineering, Mobile Security. She has successfully guided three PhD students and currently guiding 2 PhD students. She has also guided many projects at undergraduate and post graduate level. She has published various research papers in SCOPUS and SCI index journals.

She has organized numerous special sessions and led them at various conferences, in addition to her roles as a reviewer and member of technical program committees for multiple conferences and journals indexed by IEEE, ACM, and SCOPUS. Furthermore, she currently holds positions as an editor and associate editor for international journals.As a Remote Center Coordinator for ISTE workshops organized by IIT Bombay, she has overseen and facilitated multiple workshops. Her efforts as the Aakash Project Coordinator for IIT Bombay's remote center have also been acknowledged, as she has provided guidance for numerous undergraduate projects involving the Aakash tablet. Additionally, she has been awarded grants from government funding agencies such as MHRD and AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academyto conduct Faculty Development Programmes. She is actively involved in industry engagement activities and serving as SPOC for Wipro’s TalentNext and FutureSkills Programmes. Apart from teaching and research she is also working as NAAC committee member and NBA module coordinator.

Funding Received for Projects, workshops and FDP

Recently received funding from AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy, for conducting Online FDP in the thrust area of Artificial Intelligence. Successfully conducted ATAL One Week Online Faculty Development Programme On Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence in Data Science (MAD-2 2020) from 1^st to 5^th October 2020.
Aakash project is under IIT, Bombay and funded by MHRD. Coordinating Aakash Project for our remote center and guided many undergraduate level projects for Aakash tablet. Under this project we have received tablets worth approx. Rs. 738000/-. We have then received grant of 3.8 LacRupees for establishing special room for workshops and purchase of equipment.
Till date we have received the funding of 11,18,000/- apart from the funding of individual workshop.
Remote center coordinator for ISTE workshops organized by IIT, Bombay and conducted 16 workshops as RC coordinator/ Workshop coordinator. We have received funds from MHRD for conducting all these workshops.
