JIVE 2009: Panchtatva
Lively, Fun filled, Exuberant-this is what JIVE stands for and this is precisely what our fest JIVE was all about. Managed and coordinated totally by students, JIVE-09 was the amalgam of all elements of life and accordingly the theme was 'Panchtatva' - the five elements of life - Earth, Water, Air, Sky and Fire. Without any of these elements, life would not be possible and JIVE-09 represented all of these spirits in various different events. JIVE-09 was held from 16th -19th April.
Typically when JIVE approaches the excitement among the students run very high and the case was no different this time, too. There were number of events organized by each JYC society and the participation was overwhelming. The attractions were mainly the STAR NIGHTS and the mega events.
JRoadies, Junkyard, Aks (Mr. and Ms. JIVE) and Trendencia (Theme walk) Talk Show – “Manmohan Singh (76), L.K Advani (81), where is the Youngistan?” Nipun, Tol Molke Bol and Treasure Hunt were few of the many events that enthralled and captivated young minds
The Pro-nights had something bigger and more exciting to offer. NEERAJ SHRIDHAR gave a rocking performance on all his famous songs. The promising performance was only a hint for things to come. With DJ nights and the theme-walk nights that followed the fest enthralled everyone and became a lasting page in the memory of the heart of every JIITian.
