About the Conference

The National Conference on Solid State Ionics is held every two years under the auspices of Indian Solid State Ionics Society. The conference provides a forum to scientists and engineers to discuss fundamentals, innovations and applications in the area of ion transport in solids and promotes collaborations and cooperation among the workers on national level.

Ion conducting solids have received worldwide attention primarily because of their potential applications in the devices considered as alternate energy resources. There have been intense efforts to exploit these solids for development of stationary and mobile power sources, power storage devices like fuel cells, batteries, Supercapacitor etc. This conference offers an opporunity to the workers in this area to exchange new ideas and present their latest results.
