The Programs of study emphasize strong conceptual understanding and practical skills in their respective areas of specialization. All students are provided with a sound foundation in basic sciences, coupled with courses in the Humanities and Social Sciences in addition to courses of parent discipline.
The education system lays great emphasis on continuous evaluation and transparency by means of well designed tutorials and practicals. Every effort is made to reinforce the concepts taught in the classroom and further enhancement of the learning is made possible by a unique educational concept called Project-Oriented Practice (POP) which consists of a minor project given to students from 2nd to 6th semesters. In the final year, a major project is assigned to students.
Industry internship after the 6th Semester is an integral part of the academic Program leading to overall development of the student through exposure to practical skills in real life situations.

UG Program in Electronics & Communication Engineering
The career growth and opportunities for ECE graduates may cover a wide range, but the bedrock for their success and deep understanding of engineering principles, built on mathematical and computational concepts, laboratory exercises and project work.
Keeping this in mind, the department gives core subjects that introduce electronics and communication engineering and then systematically build up solid foundations and depth in selected areas like VLSI, RF Engineering, Digital Systems and Communication Engineering. Also Laboratory work and independent projects strengthen their ability of analysis, design, and experimentation in a variety of desired areas. Flexibility in selecting the interdepartmental electives caters to their interest and broadens their knowledge to meet the demands of academia and industry.
Students get a flavor of working in industry and the work culture prevailing there through the mandatory six-week industrial training at the end of third year. A strong emphasis on the final year project makes the students confident in research, design, development, manufacturing and management.

UG Program in Computer Science Engineering

Most of the courses are supported by good laboratory practice through excellent computer laboratories and software. There is a provision of six elective subjects which a student can choose depending on market demand and his/her interest in emerging areas and need for further specialization. Though most of the courses have elements of research and design, a heavy emphasis on the final year project gives students an excellent opportunity to develop and demonstrate their innovation skills, design skills and research interests. These projects quite often lead to publications of their original work. Some of the core subjects of the programs include Object Oriented Programming, Micro Processors & Controllers, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Computation Theory, Computer Networks, Compiler Design, Computer Organization and Architecture. Students have to undergo a thorough six-week mandatory industrial training at the end of their third year of study to get a feel of the work culture in relevant industries.
UG Program in Information Technology
JIIT, Noida offers a unique four-year undergraduate Program leading to the degree of Bachelor of Technology, IT. The program aims to prepare students to either pursue a professional career immediately after graduation or to continue with postgraduate studies either in India or abroad. The B.Tech. Program also enhances freedom of choice by offering a large number and variety of elective courses. Since technological courses are introduced from the very first semester, the student has the necessary background to specialize and delve deeper into specific sub-areas of knowledge within IT in the later part of the Program. Elective courses constitute the bulk of the curriculum in the fourth year of study. During the fourth (final) year of study, the student is required to undertake a full-length project. A special feature of the Program consists of an internship of four to eight weeks at the end of the sixth semester of study, which will provide an opportunity for the student to apply and practice academic concepts in real world situations. The structure of the Program is under continuous review to enable it to keep pace with developments in technology, industry, and educational methodology.
UG Program in Biotechnology
The undergraduate B. Tech in Biotechnology 4-Yr program offers:

BTech – Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECM) : The program has been designed to provide comprehensive knowledge in two important subject areas; Electronics and Computer Science. The primary advantage of this hybrid program is that it prepares future engineers who are acquainted with both the hardware and the associated software / programming concepts aligned with the current requirement in industries. As a by-product it will enhance the employability opportunities for the students. The program will combine the coursework in different aspects of electronics engineering and computer science. Students can develop new technologies, for many applications such as healthcare, surveillance, communication, early disaster warning, education, entertainment, multimedia, virtual reality, human computer interface etc. in essence, this programme will give students an opportunity to develop knowledge of both the fields over a period of four years. The major highlights of the programme will be: Crossover courses of Electronics (hardware) and Computer Science (software) basics, Intensive programming courses in pre-final year and final year electives, Opportunity to do interdisciplinary minor and major projects and program will give edge to the students willing to pursue a future in IoT, 5G, AI, Embedded Systems and related fields.
BTech – Mathematics and Computing (M&C): The B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing, are drawn from the fields of computer science, mathematics, and statistics. Graduates of this programme will have a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and computer-related subjects as well as extensive theoretical understanding. Students can choose Programme Electives from the Department of Mathematics and Open Electives from other departments within the institute. Students will get opportunities for learning as well as developing computational techniques which can be used in many fields such as healthcare, agriculture, security, banking, finance, e-commerce, education, forensics, etc. The students will be trained towards proficiency in mathematics and computer science by a group of dedicated faculty members of JIIT.
B.Tech Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology):The National Semiconductor Mission (NSM) is being pursued by the government of India with the intention of establishing a semiconductor ecosystem in India. JIIT is dedicated to become a part of this endeavor to help create trained manpower in this area to cater the huge industry demand for chip engineers. The course material will provide students with an in-depth understanding of semiconductor devices, VLSI circuit design and verification, FPGA design, and the fabrication process, in addition to hands-on experience with leading EDA (Electronic Design and Automation) tools.
Students will have the opportunity to pursue flexible course work, participate in industrial internships, work on real-world projects, and receive hands-on experience with the machinery and procedures used in the fabrication of integrated circuits. The students completing this course will be qualified for being employed in the semiconductor chip designing and fabrication industry.
VLSI Fabrication and Characterization Lab, at JIIT, is the only lab of its kind across the country to train undergraduate students in line with India's semiconductor mission. The lab will give the complete fabrication process exposure to the students and will be used for cutting edge research in this domain.
B.Tech Electronics and Communication (Advanced Communication Technology):This programme will be dealing with Electronics Engineering with a focus on Fifth Generation (5G) and Advance Communication Technologies like Massive Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO), Beam Forming through Advanced Digital Signal Processing, Device to Device (D2D) communication, Millimeter Wave (mm-Wave) technologies etc. In coherence with current focus of Government of India on 5G to increase GDP, creating employment, and digitizing the economy, the four-year program will train engineering students in consonance with Government of India (GOI) and the requirements outlined by AICTE.
5G Use Case Lab at JIIT is one of 100 labs awarded by DoT, GoI across the country. The lab will will be used by students, researchers and start ups in the region for 5G use cases and will help in development of 6G Technology in the country.
Focusing on skilling in 5G and related technologies to build the foundation of a digital economy, JIIT is dedicated to become a part of this endeavour to fulfil the demand for more skilled manpower with rapidly changing dynamics. The students completing this course will get career opportunities in various sectors, from telecommunications and IT infrastructure to health care, education, and manufacturing. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science:
The programme B.Sc. in Computer Science is designed to develop analytical, computational thinking and problem-solving skills in design, development and implementation of computer software/hardware. Specialization in Information Technology and Applications develops the skills and enriches the knowledge of current IT and tools for information management and specialization in Computing and Programming enhances the knowledge and skills in computing as well as in programming to solve computational problems.
Bachelor of Business Administration
BBA curriculum is imaginative and flexible and is comprised of creative combinations of disciplines of study. Innovative and stimulating pedagogical practices stimulate the students’ learning experience. The BBA program aims at developing a set of broad based competencies, an understanding of the social and human context and instil strong ethical values in the students. Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA):
