Prof. James M. Conrad is currently a professor at the University of North Carolina - Charlotte and Associate Department Chair for the Department of Electrical and Computing Engineering. His career experience is divided between industry and academia. He previously served as an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas and as an instructor at North Carolina State University. He has also worked for IBM, Ericsson/Sony Ericsson, and two start-up companies.

He teaches and conducts research in the areas of embedded systems, robotics, parallel processing, artificial intelligence, and engineering education. He has published eight books in the field of embedded systems and robotics. Dr. Conrad received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, Urbana, and his master’s and doctorate degrees in computer engineering from North Carolina State University.







Prof. Mohamed Slim Alouini is Professor in Electrical Engineering and also Associate Dean, Computer, Electrical & Mathematical Science and Engineering.

He is ​​​​​​​​​​​Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena, United States, 1998, M.S. Electrical Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Atlanta, United States, 1995, Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A.) in Electronics, Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France, 1993 and Diplome d'Ingenieur, École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (Télécom Paris Tech), Paris, France, 1993.

Prof. Alouini current research interests include design and performance analysis of diversity combining techniques, MIMO techniques, multi-hop/cooperative communications systems, optical wireless communication systems, cognitive radio systems, and multi-resolution, hierarchical and adaptive modulation schemes. He has published several papers on the above subjects and he is co-author of the textbook Digital Communication over Fading Channels.

He is Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE),IEEE Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Communication Society, Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge list of Highly Cited Researchers, Shanghai Ranking/Elsevier list of Most Cited Researchers.







Dr. Kiran R. Bhutani received her Ph.D. from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

She joined The Catholic University of America in 1986 and is currently a Professor of Mathematics.

Her publications and research interests are in the areas of: Category Theory, Graph theory, Applications of graph theory to networking, Fuzzy Graph Theory and applications, Vague Sets, Fuzzy sets and applications to social choice theory.







Prof. K. V. S. Hari received the B.E. degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 1983, the M.Tech. degree from IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 1985, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of California at San Diego, La Jolla, CA, USA, in 1990.

From 2010 to 2016, he was an Affiliated Professor with the Department of Signal Processing, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He was a Visiting Faculty Member with Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA; the KTH Royal Institute of Technology; and Aalto University, Espoo, Finland. He was also with the Defence Electronics Research Laboratory, Hyderabad, and with the Research and Training Unit for Navigational Electronics, Osmania University. Since 1992, he has been with the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India, where he is currently a Professor and coordinates the activities of the Statistical Signal Processing Laboratory.

His research interests include the development of signal processing algorithms for MIMO wireless communication systems, sparse signal recovery problems, indoor positioning, assistive technologies for the elderly, and neuroscience. He received the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers S. V. C. Aiya Award for Excellence in Telecom Education and the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Osmania University College of Engineering, Hyderabad.







Dr. Ashok Chandra, an Indian Engineering Services officer of 1976 batch. Dr. Chandra joined the Ministry of Communications, Government of India. He is PhD in Electronics and Doctorate of Science (D.Sc.) in Radio Mobile Communications. Currently, he is an International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Expert on “Radio Spectrum Management”. Dr. Chandra superannuated from the post of Wireless Adviser to the Government of India.

In his responsibility as Wireless Adviser, he was associated with spectrum management activities, including in spectrum planning and engineering, frequency assignment, frequency coordination, spectrum monitoring, policy regarding regulatory affairs for new technologies and related research; development activities, etc. He was Project Director of a prestigious World Bank Project on “National Radio Spectrum Management and Monitoring System (NRSMMS)”. He has served as a Vice- Chairman, Study Group 5 of International Telecommunications Union (ITU)-Radio Sector. He has represented India to a large number of ITU meetings including World Radio Conferences (WRC). He served as Councillor from Indian Administration in the ITU Council.







Prof. Manav R. Bhatnagar (M’04–SM’13) received the M.Tech. degree in communications engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree in wireless communications from the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway, in 2008.,From 2008 to 2009, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the University Graduate Center (UNIK), University of Oslo. He held visiting appointments with the Wireless Research Group, IIT Delhi; the Signal Processing in Networking and Communications (SPiNCOM) Group, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Minneapolis, MN, USA; the Alcatel-Lucent Chair, SUPELEC, France; the Department of Electrical Computer Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India; UNIK, University of Oslo; the Department of Communications and Networking, Aalto University, Espoo, Finland; and INRIA/IRISA Laboratory, University of Rennes, Lannion, France

He is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India. He is also a Brigadier Bhopinder Singh Chair Professor there. His research interests include signal processing for multiple-input-multiple-output systems, cooperative communications, noncoherent communication systems, distributed signal processing for cooperative networks, multiuser communications, ultrawideband-based communications, free-space optical communication, cognitive radio, software-defined radio, power line communications, smart grid communications, physical layer security, molecular communications, and satellite communications.

Dr. Bhatnagar is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K., the Indian National Academy of Engineering, the National Academy of Sciences, India, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India, and the Optical Society of India. He was a recipient of the NASI-Scopus Young Scientist Award 2016 in the engineering category and the Shri Om Prakash Bhasin Award in the field of Electronics and Information Technology in 2016. He was selected as an Exemplary Reviewer of the IEEE Communications Letters from 2010 to 2012, and the IEEE Transactions on Communications, in 2015. He was an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, from 2011 to 2014.







Prof. Sanjiv Bonde received Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Government Polytechnic Amravati. Board of Technical Education Mumbai, B.E. (Electronics) and M.E (Electronics) from S.G.G.S. College of Engg. and Tech. Nanded Marathwada and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai.

Obtained the grant of Rs. 5,00.000, for the development of power electronics laboratory under DCA scheme of AICTE in the year 1999.

Received Sushrutha Award for best paper in Doctoral category of International Conference on Biomedical Engineering (BIOVISION 2001) at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Biomedical Society of India.







Prof. Rajiv Saxena obtained B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and M.E. in Digital Techniques and Data Processing. He joined , Roorkee (erstwhile UOR, Roorkee), as a QIP Research Fellow, towards his Doctoral Degree Program. The Ph. D. degree was conferred on him in Electronics and Computer Engineering. During the research tenure, Prof. Saxena suggested a few corrections in one benchmark paper of Dr. A. Papoulis (a veteran in the field of Communication Engineering) published in the year 1973. These corrections were appreciated and accepted by Dr. A. Papoulis himself.

He is associated with the Jaypee Education System since November 2006. He was Professor and Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Raghogarh, Guna (MP). Prior to current assignment, he was a Director of Jaypee University Anoopshahr since May 2014.

Prof. Saxena has supervised Twenty Ph.D. candidates in the area of wireless, cellular, mobile and digital communication, digital signal processing, digital image processing and application of DSP tools in electronic systems and bio-medical engineering. Prof. Saxena has published about 100 research articles in refereed journals of national and international repute. Best paper award of IETE was also conferred on him in the year 2008. Prof. Saxena has also supervised about TWENTY FIVE PG Dissertations and many UG Projects in the areas of his interests.







Prof. Shweta Srivastava, received her B.Tech degree from IPST, Chitrakoot in 1998 and Ph.D degree from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India in 2002 on the topic “Some Investigations on Frequency Agile Microstrip Antenna”.

She joined Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India in February 2002 as a faculty member. Since then she is engaged in research and development in the field of microstrip antennas, active antennas, smart antennas, millimeter wave antennas, on chip antennas, microwave integrated circuits, substrate integrated waveguide etc. She has several International and National journal publications in reputed journals including IEEE transactions. Besides she has presented papers in several national and International conferences/ seminars in India and abroad. She was also awarded SERC fast track project for young Scientist by Deptt. of Science and Technology, Government of India.

Awarded the prestigious "Smt. Ranjana Pal Memorial Award 2016" by Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers for significant contribution in the field of RF and Microwave, Electromagnetics and Antennas.

Awarded as "Outstanding Woman in Engineering" by Centre for Advanced Research and Design, Venus International Foundation, India in March 2018.
