Scholarship Opportunities at JIIT Noida: Eligibility and How to Apply

JIIT, one of the top engineering colleges in Noida, offers a range of scholarship opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to help make education affordable. This guide explains all the scholarships available at the Institute along with their eligibility.

Fee Waiver Scholarships

Getting admission is one step. Understanding the financial support available is another. Students are eligible for the award of means and merit scholarships. Students who meet theadmission eligibility requirements for BTech, BCA, BBA and BCom and perform well in JEE Main or Class 10+2 examinations are eligible for consideration for fee waiver scholarships at JIIT in Academic Year 2026-27.

Scholarships Based on JEE Main All India Rank

The following tuition fee waivers are available for students enrolling in BTech and Integrated MTech programmes through JEE Main.

Scholarships Based on Class 10+2 Marks

Students admitted through the Class 10+2 route to eligible programmes such as BTech, Integrated MTech, BBA, BCA and BCom may receive the following tuition fee waivers.

Scholarship Continuation Requirements

Students awarded fee waiver scholarships must satisfy all continuation requirements every semester.

These include:

  • Meeting the required CGPA criteria
  • Having no backlog in the semester being considered
  • Not being debarred from any subject because of attendance shortage
  • Having no disciplinary action against them

The continuation benefit is determined as follows:

Students should also note that scholarship eligibility is reviewed every semester.

Scholarship for Girl Students

JIIT offers a separate scholarship for eligible girl students admitted to its BTech programmes.

Eligibility

  • Admission to a BTech programme
  • Parents’ annual income from all sources should not exceed ₹8 lakh per annum
  • Submission of a valid income certificate issued by state authorities

Scholarship Benefit

Eligible students receive a 50% tuition fee waiver for the minimum duration of the degree.

Number of Scholarships Available

Two girl students are selected for each course based on admission merit. One scholarship is awarded through the JEE Main admission route and one through the Class 10+2 admission route. If admissions are available through only one route, scholarship is offered accordingly.

Continuation Requirement

The fee waiver continues only as long as the student maintains a CGPA of at least 7.50. Scholarships are awarded after the last date of admission process.

Scholarship for Board Toppers

Students who secure the top position in recognised Indian school Boards qualify for a special scholarship at JIIT.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be the topper of the Class 10+2 examination of a recognised board in the year of admission
  • Meet the admission requirements for a BTech programme
  • Submit proof or certification issued by the board

Scholarship Benefit

The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee and is available for the minimum duration of the degree (i.e., 04 years in case of BTech).

Continuation Requirement

The scholarship remains valid only if the student maintains a minimum CGPA of 7.50 each semester.

AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme

In addition to institute scholarships, eligible students can benefit from the AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme implemented at JIIT.

Eligibility

  • Parents’ annual income from all sources should not exceed ₹8 lakh
  • Admission based on merit
  • Submission of a valid income certificate issued by state authorities

William Webster Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

The William Webster Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship is intended for BTech students who have performed well academically and come from families with limited financial resources and is awarded after the first semester.

Eligibility

  • Applicable to BTech students
  • Combined parental income should be less than ₹8 lakh annually (submission of a valid income certificate issued by state authorities is required)

Selection Process

A merit list is prepared during the second semester based on:

  • Class 10 marks
  • Class 12 marks
  • First semester academic performance at JIIT

Scholarship Benefit

The scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver equal to one semester's tuition fee in an academic year.

Number of Scholarships

Only two scholarships are awarded every year:

  • One at the Sector 62 campus
  • One at the Sector 128 campus

Continuation Requirement

Students must maintain a CGPA of at least 7.00 in every semester. The scholarship is awarded during the even semester each year.

Scholarships for BSc, MSc, MCA, and MCom Programmes

The scholarship framework at JIIT extends beyond BTech admissions. Students pursuing BSc, MSc, MCA, and MCom programmes can also qualify for fee waivers based on academic performance.

Continuation Requirement

Eligibility is reviewed after every semester, and the selection is based on academic performance within each department.

To retain the scholarship, students must continue meeting the CGPA requirement specified for the scheme.

MBA Scholarships

For MBA applicants, scholarship eligibility depends on two factors: performance in the qualifying degree programme and CAT score.

Continuation Requirement

Scholarship eligibility is reassessed after every semester. To retain the benefit, students must continue meeting the academic requirements prescribed under the scheme.

Additional Financial Support Through Teaching Assistantships

Apart from scholarships and fee waivers, JIIT provides teaching assistantships for eligible MTech and MDes students.

Other Candidates

  • CGPA ≥ 7.5 or equivalent marks in the qualifying degree at the time of admission

Benefits

Eligible students may receive a teaching assistantship of ₹15,000 per month.

Continuation Requirement

Students should have a CGPA of at least 7.5 every semester.

Integrated MTech Students

Students enrolled in the Integrated MTech programme can become eligible for a teaching assistantship in their fifth year, provided they have secured a CGPA of 7.5 or above in the previous semester.
