Mandatory Disclosures

The under mentioned Information about JIIT (Deemed to be University u/s 3 of UGC Act) is in response to MHRD’s Order No. F.4.30/2009.U.I(a) Dated 17th July, 2009 and UGC Letter No. F.6-1(7)/2006(CPP-I) dated 7th August, 2009 for Disclosure of Information in Public Interest.

JIIT has two campuses i.e. at Sector-62 and Sector-128 Noida. The necessary approval for starting of extended campus has been obtained from UGC vide letter No.F.42-1/2009(CPP-I) dated 13th August, 2009.

Information on Available Infrastructure and Physical Assets.

The Institution has all infrastructural facilities much more than prescribed by AICTE under its Hand book & legal document vide notification No. F.37-3/Legal/2004 of AICTE dated November 28, 2005 meant for affiliating institutions. AICTE/UGC has not prescribed any such detailed norms and standards for University including Deemed University.

Information on Grant In Aid

The Jaypee Institute of Information Technology is a self financing University and does not receive any grant in aids from the Central / State Govt. or its agencies.

Information on Admission Procedure

All programs offered by JIIT are regular courses and no distance mode of education is provided

B. Tech– ECE, CSE, IT, Biotech and 5 Years Integrated M.Tech Programs in Biotech, CSE & ECE.

The admissions are made depending on the choice of Program, exercised by the candidates during counseling, based on merit drawn on All India Ranking of JEE (Main) examination conducted by the CBSE.

B. Tech – Biotechnology & 5 Years Integrated M.Tech Program in (Biotechnology)

50% seats for the above programs are based on merit in All India Rank in JEE (Main) examination.

Balance 50% seats shall be allocated based on merit in 10+2 examination for the Biology based candidates.

M. Tech Courses

The admission to the above programs is based on merit drawn on the valid GATE Score of the students who fulfill the eligibility criteria and also through Postgraduate Entrance Test conducted by the Institute

MBA

Short listing for admission is done through CAT / MAT / CMAT /XAT and GMAT scores, followed by the Group discussion and Personal Interview conducted by the Institute. In addition a written test is conducted to check the communication skills. There after overall merit is made based on performance in all the three factors.

Ph.D

Admission is based on

  1. Satisfying the requirements of minimum qualifications as laid down in ordinance.
  2. Performance in Interview for those who have qualified in NET / SLET etc examinations.
  3. Performance in
  4. The PhD Entrance Test conducted by JIIT, Noida for all those who are not qualified in any of the examinations mentioned above and
  5. The subsequent Interview.
