Music Made Visible Club Activities at JIIT Campus

Dance is dreaming with your feet!

The aims to encourage the love of dance, while inspiring self-confidence, discipline and respect of the performing arts. We recognize that every student has something to offer the arts and the arts has something for every student. We do various workshop sessions that help build confidence of the students.

Besides that, we even participate for competitions in many college fests and even perform in Induction program, conferences, ethnic night and many other events that are held in our college.

When new students enter an institution, they come with diverse thoughts, backgrounds and preparations. It is important to help them adjust to the new environment and inculcate in them the ethos of the institution with a sense of larger purpose.

We have 3 dedicated troupes for the various dance forms namely

Music Made Visible (MMV)- The Western dance troupe
Nrityang- The Indian Dance troupe
Surkhaab- The Bhangra troupe.

MMV(Music Made Visible)

MMV is the official western dance hub of our institute, bringing together passionate dancers who express music through movement. For us, dance is more than choreographed steps on stage — it’s about personality, character, and the pure expression of music.

The hub celebrates the spirit of street and contemporary culture with dynamic styles such as Hip Hop, House, Party, and Contemporary dance. But MMV is not just another dance hub. While dance is at our core, we believe in something deeper: building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and fostering a sense of community. Every practice session is a step toward nurturing both good human beings and great performers.

From freestyle battles to choreographed stage shows, MMV is where rhythm meets personality, passion is celebrated, and every individual grows both as a dancer and as a person.

At MMV, we don’t just dance- we make music visible, and character unforgettable.

Competition Highlights

Participated in IIT Delhi Rendezvous 2023 (Duo Dance Competition) MMV represented the institute as team “Carbonz” at IIT Delhi’s Rendezvous 2023, one of the biggest cultural fests in India. Our duo performance combined hip hop and Bollywood elements to portray the theme of love, comedy, and rising hip hop culture. Days of practice, synchronization, and creative choreography reflected in a performance that left a strong impression.
Participated in Beat Blitz Clash in JIIT-62 Synergy 2025 (On-spot Solo Dance Competition) In this spontaneous solo face-off, our dancer initially stepped onto the stage with fear and underconfidence, uncertain of performing without preparation. But as the music took over, those doubts transformed into energy and expression. Trusting instincts, the performance grew stronger with every beat and round, ultimately overcoming stage fright and earning a proud 2nd position - a true reflection of MMV’s spirit of growth and resilience.
Participated in JIIT-62 Synergy 2025 (Group Dance Competition) Countless practice sessions went into perfecting coordination, transitions, and formations, making the performance a high-energy showcase of teamwork and the strong characters of each member. This effort was rewarded with a proud 2nd position.
Participated in JIIT-62 Induction Program 2025 (Solo Dance Competition) The induction performance invited freshers for a solo presentation to inspire the new batch, using contemporary movement to symbolize beginnings and growth. The effort was not just about the dance itself, but about setting the tone of passion, discipline, and creativity that MMV stands for. This outstanding solo performance secured 1st position and marked the dancer as one of the very first members of the new batch, setting a high standard for those who followed.
