Dr. Abhijeet Upadhya

Biography

Dr. Abhijeet Upadhya completed his PhD from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India in 2020. He completed his Master of Technology and Bachelor of Technology from AKTU, (formerly known as UPTU), U.P. India in 2014 and 2011, respectively. Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Grade) in the Department of Electronics and communication engineering at JIIT, Noida, U.P., India.

He aims to pursue a challenging innovative career in academic field and to establish as a dynamic innovative academic professional that motivates and creates students who will deliver solution to future engineering challenges and innovative technology of tomorrow. He has more than Ten years of Teaching/Academics Experience. Prior to teaching, he also worked as an R&D Engineering for one year in Industry. He has guided several students in various Prize-winning Engineering Projects. He has been part of Editorial boards of various reputed International Journals. He is the OBE Coordinator of ECE Department at JIIT.

Research Highlights

Dr. Abhijeet Upadhya has published 20 research papers in reputed SCIE-indexed journals and continues to explore the vast area of Wireless Communication Engineering. In total he has published around 30 research papers across various International and National Journals, and Conference Proceedings. He has published papers in journals including IEEE Transactions on Communication, IEEE Communication Letters and IEEE Wireless Communication Letters. He has also published one Patent which is under review for being granted under the Indian Patent Act, 1970. He constantly provides support as a reviewer to various prestigious journals. He is the co-author of the Book titled- “Free-Space Optical Communication Systems for Next Generation Networks”, Springer, 2024.

His research interests include wireless communication systems, cooperative relaying, and free space optical communication systems. Other areas of research include statistical characterization and modeling of wireless fading channels, security analysis, and performance evaluation of digital wireless communication systems subject to interference.  He has also found interest in the field of deep learning and machine learning in wireless communication systems.
