Dr. Himani Gupta

Biography

Dr. Himani Gupta serves as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. With over 19 years of teaching experience, she has held positions at various esteemed institutions, including JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida (13 years), RKGIT Ghaziabad (4 years as Associate Professor), and other engineering colleges (2 years as a lecturer).

Dr. Himani Gupta's academic background includes a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SRMSCET, Bareilly, an MTech in VLSI from JSSATE Noida, and a Ph.D. from Galgotia University. She has also completed an e-learning course from CDAC Noida and a one-year advanced certification course in Data Science from IIT Chennai.

Her achievements include being granted two patents by the Indian Patent Office as the first inventor & 1 granted design patent. Dr. Gupta has published numerous research papers in reputable international journals, conferences, and book chapters. She has guided 7 MTech and over 40 BTech projects, 

Research Highlights

Dr. Himani Gupta's research is centered on developing low-power dissipation in VLSI, Network-on-Chip (NOC) high-performance routers. Utilizing Finite State Machine (FSM) for low power decomposition, she has explored various technologies to minimize power consumption. A significant aspect of her research involves the design of eight-directional NOC routers aimed at enhancing key performance metrics, including power dissipation, energy efficiency, throughput, and latency.

Her innovative endeavors draw inspiration from real-world challenges, particularly those exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. For instance, her work on the Selfie Mask ATM Vending Machine addresses contemporary issues through technology. Furthermore, Dr. Gupta commitment for solutions that leads to improving daily life is evident in projects like the smart casserole and the companion stick for elders.

Dr. Himani Gupta is also engaged in machine learning-based projects. These projects focus on predictive analysis for better accuracy, performance.
