Dr Himani Pant

Biography

Dr. Himani Pant earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. The doctoral research focused on Markov models for reliability and cost analysis of repairable systems incorporating maintenance and inspections. Prior to this, Dr. Pant completed an M.Sc. in Mathematics and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics from University of Delhi. She has more than two years of teaching experience, having served as an Assistant Professor at Invertis University, Bareilly, and DIT University, Dehradun, before joining Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. She has also cleared Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) of June 2018.

Dr. Pant’s research primarily focuses on the reliability modeling, availability assessment, and optimization of complex engineering systems under various inspection and failure scenarios. Her contributions integrate stochastic modeling, multi-objective optimization, and computational intelligence techniques to improve system performance and maintenance efficiency. She has published over 12 peer-reviewed journal articles in high-quality journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus. She has presented her work at over 10 national and international conferences, sharing insights on reliability modeling and optimization.
