Dr. Sandeep Raj

Biography

 Dr. Sandeep Raj is an academician and researcher in the field of Computer Science and Engineering with over 17 years of teaching, academic administration, and research experience. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2022, M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from CDAC Noida, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2008), and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Ambedkar Institute of Technology, GGSIP University (2005). 

He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology/Information Technology at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. Previously, he served as Department Coordinator and Associate Professor at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Associate Professor and Head of Department at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET), and Assistant Professor at G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, and HMR Institute of Technology & Management.

His teaching and research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Algorithm Design. He has published numerous research papers in SCIE, Scopus-indexed journals, IEEE confer ences, and book chapters, authored books, and holds patents in AI and IoT-related technologies.

Dr. Raj has actively contributed to academic quality initiatives as an NBA Coordinator, reviewer, ses sion chair, invited speaker, and mentor. He is a UGC-NET qualified faculty member, GATE-qualified, a Wipro Certified Faculty, and an active member of professional bodies including ACM and IACSIT. His commitment to teaching excellence, research, and academic leadership has significantly contributed to engineering education and interdisciplinary research.

Research Highlights

Dr. Sandeep Raj's research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Internet of Things 
(IoT), Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Intelligent Healthcare Systems. His 
work emphasizes the development of intelligent, secure, and scalable solutions for real-world applications, particularly in healthcare, smart cities, agriculture, and network security. 

He has published more than 25 research papers in reputed SCIE, ESCI, Scopus-indexed journals, IEEE conferences, and international conferences. His recent contributions include research on IoT-enabled real-time health monitoring using spiking neural networks, AI-powered traffic management systems (SmartFlow), AI-assisted robotic surgeries, brain lesion detection using deep learning, crop disease detection using CNN architectures, and quantum AI applications in finance. His earlier research includes significant contributions to Flying Ad Hoc Networks (FANETs), cryptography, medical image analysis, fraud detection, and intelligent healthcare systems. 

Dr. Raj has also authored two books, several book chapters with international publishers such as 
Springer Nature, Elsevier, and IGI Global, and holds one published patent and two registered design 
patents in AI- and IoT-based technologies, including smart agriculture, AI-based sensing devices, and 
cryptocurrency-enabled financial systems.

His research contributions are complemented by active participation in the academic community as a 
session chair, conference reviewer, journal reviewer, invited speaker, and NBA coordinator. Through 
interdisciplinary collaborations and continuous professional development, he continues to contribute to 
emerging technologies in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and intelligent 
networked systems while promoting innovation, high-quality research, and industry-oriented 
engineering education.
