Dr. Diksha Jain

Biography

Dr. Diksha Jain is currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MNIT Jaipur, where her doctoral research focused on stability investigations in hybrid AC–DC microgrids, supported by an MHRD fellowship. She received her M.Tech. in Power Systems (Gold Medalist) from YMCA Faridabad and a B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from MBM Engineering College, Jodhpur

Her research expertise spans power system stability, microgrids, renewable energy integration, energy management systems, and FACTS controllers. She has published in reputed international journals including Electric Power Systems Research, Smart Grids and Energy, and International Journal of Emerging Electric Power Systems, and has presented at IEEE international conferences such as PEDES, STPEC, and ICPS

Prior to joining JIIT, Dr. Jain gained industry and academic experience as a Technical Product Manager in renewable energy and EV charging systems, Senior Manager at KP Group for large-scale renewable projects, and as a faculty member at Arya Institute of Engineering Technology, Jaipur. She has also contributed to a DST-funded project on Cooperative Isolated Renewable Energy Systems for Rural Power Reliability.

She is an IEEE member, editorial board contributor, and reviewer for leading journals, and has been recognized with several awards, including the Best Researcher Award (ICRE 2024) and a Gold Medal in M.Tech. Her professional vision is to integrate renewable energy technologies and smart grid innovations to build sustainable and resilient power systems

Research Highlights

Dr. Diksha Jain’s research primarily focuses on the stability, control, and energy management of hybrid AC–DC microgrids, with an emphasis on integrating renewable energy sources, interlinking converters, and advanced energy storage technologies. Her doctoral work at MNIT Jaipur investigated power-sharing mechanisms and dynamic control strategies for improving voltage and frequency stability in complex microgrid environments. She has contributed extensively to the field through high-impact publications in reputed journals such as Electric Power Systems Research and Smart Grids and Energy, along with several IEEE conference papers on microgrid control, FACTS devices, and distributed generation planning. Her research also extends to EV charging infrastructure, product validation, and clean energy system optimization, bridging the gap between academic innovation and industry application. Recognized with the Best Researcher Award (ICRE 2024), Dr. Jain continues to advance cutting-edge solutions for sustainable and resilient power systems.
