Biography

Dr. Pratik Shrivastava is an academic and researcher in Computer Science and Engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur, in 2020, focusing his dissertation on performance issues in replicated distributed real-time database systems. He earned his M.Tech. from O.C.T. Bhopal in 2014 and his B.E. in Information Technology from R.K.D.F.I.S.T. Bhopal in 2008.

Dr. Shrivastava has over fifteen years of academic and industry experience. He has previously held faculty positions at Bennett University, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, KIET Ghaziabad, and MIET Meerut. His areas of research interest include replicated distributed real-time database systems, cryptography, Android development, and programming languages such as C, C++, and Java.

He has authored and co-authored numerous research papers published in reputed international journals and conferences, many indexed in Scopus, SCIE, and DBLP. His scholarly contributions include book chapters with IGI Global and presentations at highly ranked conferences such as ADC, ICDCiT, and IEEE CONECCT. He has also received recognition for his work, including awards at research conclaves organized by MMMUT. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Shrivastava has industry experience as a Trainee Software Engineer at Infogain India Pvt. Ltd. He remains dedicated to advancing knowledge through research and teaching.

Research Highlights

Dr. Pratik Shrivastava’s research contributes to the advancement of replicated distributed real-time database systems (RDRTDBS), with an emphasis on performance optimization, reliability, and security. His doctoral work systematically investigated critical challenges in transaction management, replication overhead, and predictability under real-time constraints. Through techniques such as prediction-based QoS management, dependency preservation, and replica update cost reduction, his studies have enhanced system scalability, fault tolerance, and efficiency.

His scholarly contributions, published in leading journals including Wireless Personal Communications, International Journal of High Performance Computing and Networking, and Data Science and Analytics, explore middleware-based fault recovery, overload handling, and secure transaction execution. Complementing his database research, he has developed cryptographic models leveraging 2D graphics for key generation, providing new perspectives for lightweight and secure communication protocols. More recently, his work on post-quantum secure aggregate signatures for the Internet of Vehicles addresses the pressing need for data authentication in intelligent and decentralized environments.

Looking forward, Dr. Shrivastava aims to extend his research toward integrating RDRTDBS frameworks with cloud, fog, and edge environments, enabling adaptive and distributed intelligence for real-time applications. He is also interested in exploring post-quantum cryptographic mechanisms for securing emerging cyber-physical systems, IoT ecosystems, and vehicular networks. These forward-looking directions combine system performance with security-by-design principles, reinforcing his commitment to building resilient, scalable, and secure distributed infrastructures for the next generation of computing.
