Biography

Dr. Tarun Agrawal has done the Ph.D. at Department of Computer Science & Engineering from National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, HP, India. He did his B. Tech and M. Tech from the Zakir Hussain College of Engineering & Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, in 2014 and 2016, respectively. His research interests are Computer Vision, Medical Imaging, Machine and Deep Learning. He has published several SCIE/Scopus journal and International Conference papers in medical image analysis field.

Dr. Tarun Agrawal’s research contributions lie primarily in the field of medical image analysis using deep learning and computer vision. His publications include the development of efficient and robust deep learning models for lung segmentation, COVID-19 lesion detection, and pneumothorax classification in chest X-ray and CT imaging to improve segmentation accuracy. He has also worked on brain tumour classification through novel approaches and addressing challenges such as class imbalance and multi-scale feature learning. Beyond disease detection, his studies extend to fetal ultrasound classification from ECG images, showcasing the interdisciplinary application of AI in healthcare.
