Madhav Bansal

Biography

He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT). He holds an MTech degree in Software Engineering from Delhi Technological University (DTU) and has qualified the GATE CSE examination twice with above 95 percentile. His academic background reflects a strong foundation in core computer science subjects, with growing interest in Machine Learning and related domains.

Research Highlights

He has made significant contributions to the field of Medical Image Analysis, with a focus on developing automated and intelligent systems for interpreting medical imaging data such as MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound. His research aims to enhance diagnostic precision and reduce the time required for clinical evaluations. He has worked extensively on image preprocessing, segmentation, feature extraction, and classification, using both traditional image processing methods and deep learning models such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and U-Net architectures. These techniques have been applied to detect and delineate pathological features like tumors, lesions, and organ anomalies with high accuracy. He has also contributed to the development of AI-based diagnostic tools designed to assist in early disease detection, particularly in cancer and neurological disorders.
