Research Highlights

Ms. Astha Sharma’s research is centered on the design and development of advanced antennas using Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) technology, metamaterials, and their applications in the millimetre wave frequency range. Her work emphasizes innovative antenna architectures for efficient radiation, miniaturization, and improved bandwidth. She is exploring the potential of SIW structures for next-generation wireless communication systems, with a focus on low-loss transmission, high directivity, and integration with modern microwave and millimeter-wave circuits. Her studies also include the role of metamaterials in enhancing antenna performance and the feasibility of terahertz devices for high-data-rate communication. Through analytical design, simulations using HFSS Software, and practical prototyping using PHCNC machine to fabricate the prototypes and characterize them using VNA and anechoic chamber, her research aims to address the challenges of compact, efficient, and wideband antennas for emerging communication technologies.
