MS. ISHIKA SINGHAL

Biography

I am an Assistant Professor at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT). I hold a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from Amity University, Noida. I am passionate about teaching, research, and continuous learning in the field of Computer Science, with a strong interest in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Python programming, Cloud Computing, and modern data analytics tools.

Before joining JIIT, I worked as a Lecturer at PP Savani University, Surat, Gujarat, where I served for ten months. During my tenure, I taught undergraduate students, delivered theory and laboratory courses, and encouraged students to develop practical problem-solving skills through hands-on learning. I believe in creating an interactive classroom environment that bridges the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications.

My research interests include Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing. I have authored and presented two research papers published in IEEE International Conference proceedings, reflecting my commitment to research and innovation. I actively explore emerging technologies and encourage students to develop analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and a research-oriented mindset.

I am committed to academic excellence and lifelong learning. I strive to integrate industry-relevant tools and technologies into my teaching, enabling students to build strong technical foundations and meet evolving industry demands. Through my teaching and research, I aim to inspire students to become competent professionals, innovative thinkers, and responsible contributors to the fields of Computer Science and Information Technology while fostering curiosity, creativity, ethical values, and a passion for continuous professional growth.

Research Highlights

My research focuses on applying data-driven techniques to solve real-world challenges in the domains of Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Computer Vision. I am particularly interested in developing intelligent systems that leverage advanced analytical methods to extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets.

One of my research works, "Big Data Analysis for Data Visualization," explores efficient techniques for processing, analyzing, and visualizing massive volumes of structured and unstructured data. The study highlights the importance of interactive visualization tools and analytical frameworks in enabling informed decision-making across various application domains. It emphasizes scalable data processing methods that improve the interpretation of complex datasets and facilitate actionable insights.

My second research work, "Real-World Anomaly Detection System Using Surveillance Videos," focuses on designing an intelligent surveillance framework capable of automatically identifying abnormal human activities in real-time. The proposed approach integrates Machine Learning and Computer Vision techniques to analyze video streams, detect unusual events, and enhance public safety by supporting timely decision-making in surveillance environments.

These research contributions have been published in IEEE International Conference proceedings, reflecting my commitment to high-quality research and innovation. My broader research interests include Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Cloud Computing, and intelligent data-driven systems. I aspire to continue developing scalable, efficient, and impactful solutions that address practical challenges while contributing to advancements in research, technology, and society. I also aim to collaborate on interdisciplinary research that bridges academia and industry to create innovative solutions with real-world impact.
