Prof. Shikha Mehta is Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering & Information Technology, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, with over 25 years of experience in academic leadership, teaching, and research.

Her expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Big Data Analytics, Nature-Inspired Computing, and Social Network Analysis. She has led curriculum innovation, strengthened Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices, and fostered industry-academia collaborations to develop future-ready engineering programs.

An accomplished researcher and author, Prof. Mehta has published extensively in reputed international journals and conferences and recently authored the textbook Big Data Analytics with Hadoop and Spark: A Hands-on Guide to Big Data Engineering and Scalable Analytics (BPB Publications), providing a practical learning resource for students, educators, and professionals. She is also a frequent keynote speaker and organizer of AI-focused conferences, workshops, faculty development programs, and hackathons that promote innovation and technology-driven learning.
