Prof. Vivek Kumar Dwivedi

Biography

Prof. Vivek Kumar Dwivedi is a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. He completed his post-doctorate in Wireless Communications (Cognitive Radio Communication) at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (OFDM systems) from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan, M.E. from BIT Mesra MS, from University of Arizona, USA, and B.E. from RGPV, Bhopal. With more than 19 years of academic and R&D experience, his research focuses on 5G/6G, LTE, FSO, machine learning, and deep learning. He has authored over 66 research papers in reputed journals and conferences, along with a book published by Springer. He has served as Associate Editor for IEEE Access and on editorial boards of reputed journals. His leadership roles include supervising 7+ Ph.D. theses, guiding 10+ M.Tech dissertations, and collaborating with global researchers. He has received the prestigious VC Postdoctoral Fellowship Award by University of Pretoria.

Research Highlights

Prof. Dwivedi’s research is centered on next-generation wireless networks (5G/6G), OFDM systems, free-space optical communication, and integration of AI/ML for communication systems. He has significantly contributed to interference mitigation, hybrid RF/FSO systems, and physical layer security. His research has practical applications in secure communication, IoT networks, and industrial automation. He has collaborated with leading international researchers from KAUST, University of Johannesburg, University of Glasgow, and Aristotle University.
