B. Sc. (Honours) Computer Science:
The B.Sc. (Honours) Computer Science programme is designed to develop analytical, computational thinking and problem-solving skills in design, development and implementation of computer software / hardware. It covers the foundation and core courses of computer science, mathematics and emerging software tools and state of the art computer laboratories. Projects, summer training and internship will develop the communication, problem solving, team work and leadership skills to meet the requirement of the industries/organizations. After successful completion of the programme, students will be capable of starting a career as an entrepreneur or may join various Software Industries as Software Engineer, Data Scientist, System Analyst, Network Administrator etc. This programme also provides excellent opportunities for higher studies in the area of computer science/applications.
B. Sc. (Honours) Information Technology and Applications:
The B.Sc. (Honours) Information Technology and Applications programme is designed to develop the skills and enrich the knowledge of current IT and tools & techniques for information management. In addition to fundamental courses of computer science and mathematics, it covers the IT courses such as web technologies, web programming, mobile computing, information management system, internet technologies, E-commerce, information system and security, computer networks etc. The programme includes modules on electronics to meet the need of Information Technology in telecommunications industries. Projects, summer training and internship will develop the communication, problem solving, team work and leadership skills to meet the requirement of the industries/organizations. These graduates will be groomed for popular programming languages and IT software design. After successful completion of the programme, students will be eligible to join various employment sectors including IT Industries, Telecommunications and Banking Sectors as Software Engineer, System Analysts, IT Consultant, Web Developer etc. This programme also provides excellent opportunities for higher studies in the areas of information technology and applications.
B. Sc. (Honours) Computing and Programming:
The B. Sc. (Honours) Computing and Programming is designed to develop the knowledge and skills in computing as well as in programming to solve computational problems. The program will consist of theory courses to be taught by highly qualified faculty and state of the art laboratories equipped with modern computing tools and computer programming facilities. This program covers fundamental and core courses of mathematics, computer science including distributed computing, parallel computing and cloud computing, cyber security, data science, information system and security, computer networks etc. Summer training and internship, dissertation/project work enables learners to apply concepts and techniques learnt during the programme and will develop the communication, problem solving, team work and leadership skills to meet the requirement of the industries/organizations. After successful completion of the programme, students will be eligible for Data Scientist, Business Analyst, Software Engineer etc. profile in the various Information Technology/ Software Industries. Apart from providing excellent opportunities for higher studies, this programme develops skills for starting IT related start-ups/ entrepreneurship also.
