Biography:

Dr. Anuj Kumar is working as Assistant Professor (Grade II) in Department of Physics and Materials Science Engineering. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from CCS University Meerut. Then he served as a lecturer at undergraduate level. After that Dr. Kumar joined Superconductivity and Cryogenics division at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi and Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi for Ph.D degree. He earned his Ph. D in 2013 under the joint supervision of Prof. R. P. Tandon (DU) and Dr. V. P. S. Awana (NPL). Just after finishing Ph.D he moved to National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba Japan for postdoctoral work (2013-15). He also worked as Assistant Professor (Grade I) at Department of Physics, DIT University Dehradun (2016-18).

Dr. Kumar has research exposure in the field of Strongly Correlated Electron System and Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. He is actively involved in the fundamental research on superconducting and magnetic materials from over ten years by now. His research work includes synthesis and characterization of new functional materials viz: superconducting, magnetic, thermoelectric and topological insulators etc. He has around 31 SCI research papers in his credit at international repute. He is also the life member of the various scientific agencies/bodies like Materials Research Society of India (MRSI), Bangalore (LM 1846), Indian Physical Society (IPS), Kolkata (LM 0949),Magnetics Society of India (MSI), Hyderabad (LM 524), Indian Physics Association (IPA), Mumbai (LM 12854) and Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Kolkata (LM 16016).
