Department Of Electronics and Communication Engineering

To begin, Electronics and Communication Engineering is indeed a branch that engages with the science of electrons and encompasses a wide range of applications such as television, radio and computers as well as communication, which all make our lives easier and more enjoyable. ECE is the backbone of the contemporary communication system, and it governs everything from rocket science to telecommunications. In today's world, current applications like as the Internet of Things (IoT), AI, robotics, and embedded systems are heavily reliant on the expertise of ECE. The components or equipment that are connected with electronics and communication engineering are now so prevalent in our everyday lives that we can't imagine living without them. As an example, it is very impossible to go even a single day without using a cell phone or watching television.

Further, Nanotechnology is assisting in the development of high-speed switching devices, the evolution from the Intel Pentium 1 processor to the recent Core i7 processor has been driven solely by the demand for increased speed, and micro architecture, all of which are components of electronics. When these electronics components are used to construct various computing devices such as smart watches, laptops, and smart phones, and when these computing devices are interconnected to transmit information via wireless medium, the communication network is established. So, keeping all of these considerations in mind, the attempt has been made to develop a curriculum for the B Tech degree that is closely linked to the new technologies that will lead to Industry 4.0 in the near future.

The department has created a collaborative atmosphere that encourages the free interchange of ideas, allowing for the growth of research, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship, as well as ensuring that students reach their maximum potential.

In every professional career programme, the question "What do you want to be after graduation?"is asked at the outset. This question contains a number of possible responses, each of which is dependent on the programme selected. After finishing B. Tech. degree, students will be prepared to enter the work life with a transforming educational experience.

For this purpose, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology has initiated a number of streamlined programmes that are designed to meet the current needs of industry in a broader sense.
