Biography

KAPIL DEV TYAGI received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India, in 2003, the MTech. degree from IIT Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree from CARE, IIT Delhi, in 2016. From 2003 to 2006, he was a Lecturer with Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India. From 2007 to 2008, he was a Scientist-C with the Indian Space Research Organization, Bengaluru, India. Since August 2016, he has completed 8 consultancy projects for various government and private agencies. He is currently an Associate Professor at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, India.

Interest Area(s)

Acoustic Reflectometry, Signal Processing: Linear/non-linear, stationary/non-stationary signals (like underwater & air acoustic signals, etc.) processing (analysis, synthesis, feature extraction etc.) by using different signal analysis methods (like FFT, STFT, CWT, DWT, EMD etc.).

Professional Projects / Professional Achievements

  • Worked in Mission Chandrayan-1 of ISRO, Completed L & T  Funded project at IIT Delhi.(Insertion loss Measurement in SONAR DOME sheets), Working for DRDO project of Designing Acoustic Reflector.
  • Awarded Gold Coin by Department of Space in appreciation for contribution inmission chandrayan-1 in year 2009.

  • For excellent teaching got appreciation letter in year 2007.

  • Got the certificate of merit for securing first rank in diploma first year 1998.

  • 1995 HRD Scholarship: ’National scholarship scheme, certificate of merit’. For getting51th position in merit list of Rajasthan board in class X, from ministry of humanresources and development department of education Govt. of India in 1995.
